Message of the Week

"Maybe I'm the one to blame. Maybe I was incapable of communicating the selfless concepts required to produce success. I needed to take them to that place where I took them before, fostering a collective consciousness, a collective soul. Only in achieving that degree of ONENESS can a group of men truly make the necessary sacrifice to win a championship." - PHIL JACKSON in "The Last Season," on the 2004 Lakers loss to Detroit in the NBA Finals

Opportunities To Play Men's Volleyball Around the Nation
Saturday, May 30, 2009
The following is a list of the opportunities available to play club volleyball in college. The clubs are not the "official" college teams, so you must be an admitted student before you try out for the club team. While most of these clubs have only one team, some have two and even three to accommodate players of different abilities. Typical club dues seem to be about $300 per year per player, and many of the clubs either have sponsors or active fundraising to help pay club costs. You can access club websites for additional information about specific clubs. --Thanks to Carol Cotter.

Every day (players) you don't kiss your mom and tell how much you love her and thank her for all the sacrifices she does for you and your family, is a missed opportunity and you can NEVER have enough opportunities in a lifetime to tell your mom that. Make sure you do that EVERYDAY. It is with a broken heart that I inform you that Alicia's mom passed away yesterday (noon) with her family by her bedside after a short battle with cancer.
One of the BEST things I have ever done as a club director is hiring Alicia. One of the greatest things that ever happened to me is when she became a DEAR FRIEND of mine. One of the things I wish in my life is that I was 20 years younger so I have a chance to be on her team and play for her. And I am ALMOST positive that one of the greatest things to ever happen to her mom in her lifetime is when she had ALICIA. May God rest Alicia's mom's soul.
